Got cold and clammy hands? Perhaps your hands are really sweaty? Whether the problem stems from heat or cold, this one keyboard will cure them all. Thanko, a Japanese company, recently updated their Cooling Keyboard line to also include heaters! Now everyone who does not live in a region that has the same weather all year round can do with one keyboard too.

No we are not crazy and this is USD and not some other currency either. Clearly there has to be a good reason for such a price. Well so think Mitsubishi having launched the world’s first laser powered television. Although a bit late (originally slated for 3rd quarter of 2008 release), it still comes in as the world’s first. There are quite a few features that make this interesting, shall we say.

Microsoft Secondlight is a prototype based on the currently slated for release Microsoft Surface (but only available for purchase by large companies and retailers). Secondlight is fairly similar to Surface in that you get a tabletop display that is touch or pressure responsive but the new feature is that it has a second additional display that is not visible on the surface itself.

We’ve all come across and possibly used post it notes (well most of us have anyways), for those who haven’t take a look at their possible uses click here. The problem with these things is that they are wasted a lot, so the bright people over at Sequoia Studio came up with the idea of re-usable ones made from e-paper and, well, we don’t really expect this to work.

Well they are getting better, honest! JPR (Jon Peddie Research) has calculated that there has been about a 22% rise in shipments of GPUs over the previous year for the third quarter of 2008. This is in spite of recessionary fears that have been haunting consumers for some time now. In other news, ATI finally seems to be giving Nvidia something to worry about.

I’m sure you’ve heard of these things before (the Nyko Air Flow Mouse for example) but this is different, seriously! These USB Air Flow Mice are different (and special too) because you can also use them to display messages on an in-built LED message scroller! The best part is you even get a remote control! The possibilities are endless…

If you keep track of these things you would know that Microsoft does scheduled releases of its updates for Windows. Recently however, they released a critical update for all versions of Windows at an unscheduled time. This is because they found a major loophole for a security risk and they believe it is serious enough that it must be remedied instantly.

The Nokia R&D department has certainly been kept busy lately, what with other companies threatening to undo Nokia’s stranglehold on the mobile phone market in general. Samsungs come up with INNOV8, Apple with an updated version of their iPhone, HP’s starting to promote their iPaq PDA, T-Mobile released the G1, etc. And now they have come up with an answer…

The Samsung INNOV8 is one of the latest mobile phone made by Samsung. Most importantly this is Samsungs first foray in to the market of high-end cameras in phones. It has an 8 MP (Mega Pixel) camera and comes with at least 8 GB of memory (alternative 16 GB model also available) with an external SD slot too. Not too shabby is it?
