Nokia N97 unleashes next gen cellular technology
December 2, 2008 – 9:07 am | by SteveOk, if you are an ‘N-Series club‘ member, you’ve got something to party on. With the new Nokia N97, you get chic and tech in the same platter. The promising touch screen multimedia flagship aims to bring its user closer to the internet on the move and at the same time be in contest with Apple’s iPhone.
The device a large 3.5 inch touch screen, 640 x 360 pixel (16:9 aspect ratio) with slide-out QWERTY keyboard. With an onboard memory of 32GB with microSD expansion of upto 48GB (in total), the design contains a 5 mega-pixel camera; Carl Zeiss technology, a 3.5mm headjack, 640 x 360 pixel, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth radios, A-GPS, battery capable of up to 1.5 days of continuous audio playback or 4.5-hours video and “DVD quality” video capture at 30fps! Need a break? sure you do!.
The most exciting part about this device is that, for the first time, it introduces the concept of ‘social location’, i.e. A-GPS sensors and the electronic compass allows the user to locate oneself anywhere in the world. Nokia N97 gives the oppertunity to fully personalise the wide screen touch display with anything you want. Be it updates from your favourite website, your social network, or whatever it may be. Nokia has not yet decided on the price, but it is expected to be around $700.

very sleek design of nokia but a better version. the gps sensors is a great quality of this phone which will enhance it features and interest more customers to purchase it with a minor drawback of its price. but regardless of its price, its a steal.
