HP Compaq Notebook Mini 700: Officially out for sale

This particular notebook has a much more subtle and elegant design, and allows comfortable use with the keyboard and the cooling system. According to the manufacturers, Mini 700 is not considered as a low cost laptop, rather a UMPC.
IT critics have tagged Compaq’s Mini 700 as the most comfortable netbook to use. And why not, it boasts one of the largest keyboards (92% full-size) in its class. This time, HP has reduced Mini 700′s thickness by almost 2.5 cm by adopting a lithium-polymeter battery and also shrinking the physical size of its hard disk by 1.8 inches.
When it comes to graphics, the Italian model comes with a 10.2 inch screen with high definition HP Bright View, WSVGA resolution of 1024×600 and an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics chip. Mini 700 has an Intel N270 at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 memory and a SATA hard disk.
The range of ports and slot expansions provided by HP includes a card reader 2 in 1 memory, an RJ-45 connector, an audio jack, a proprietary connector and 2 USB 2.0 ports. The audio system that comes along comprises of two Altec Lansing speakers with a compatible 3D Sound Blaster Pro.
Mini 700 has a 3 cell battery. The light weight compact design and ease in use makes it the ultimate choice for students and professinals searching for a second PC in hand.
