If you are looking for something ‘extraordinare’, need not to look elsewhere. Etymotic presents the $150 hf5 earphones to rock your ears. Yes its not cheap, but from here you can decide if it’s more than you need and spend less or up the ante to a higher-end product.

Almost every other company producing headphones has a model of such class but the Etymotic Research have made it clear that their new 5th generation high fidelity earphones are different in real terms.

The hf5 provides up to 35db of noise isolation and have a frequency response or 20-16KHz and 16Ohms (nominal) independence. Also it comes with a four feet long cord and weighs almost under 0.5oz.

hf5′s general appearance is not much different from the company’s previous model, hf2 but they don’t have an in-line button or microphone. Basically the hf5 kit includes two sets of flanged tips, small standard soft foam that almost all manufacturers use.

In all, the hf5 earphones are a solid product and carry a god value. Therefore, it is the least expected that you regret spending $150 on such product.
