The Wall Street Journal’s sources seemed pretty sure that Apple was cooking up a miniature iPhone for release in the near future but according to The New York Times latest report it seems that the iPhone nano’s future isn’t very near.

Cydia has got plenty of awesome apps already and soon to be added in the list is going to be a cool new tweak which will bring turn-by-turn navigation to the iOS’s native Google Maps app.

One of the key features introduced with Apple’s iOS 4.x last year was the native multitasking / backgrounding feature. Unfortunately Cydia still doesn’t support it. What this means is that Cydia updates are installed whenever you start the app, followed by those annoying “Reloading Data” screens.

Good news for potential unlockers, PwnageTool, a custom-IPSW jailbreak tool for Macs, was just released, allowing for untethered jailbreaks on iOS 4.2.1 via Mac computers. As many know, custom-IPSW tools are tools that — add — code into your IPSW, legally modifying the OS prior to a restore.
