The interface of this app is different from Facebook for Android as its interface is design specially for messaging purposes.In this app you can check your all the message conversation and also create further messages too.

Messenger is a separate app, so it only takes one click to get to your messages or send a new one. Messages are delivered through notifications and texts, so your friends are more likely to get them right away.

You can use Messenger to reach all of your friends — whether they’re on Facebook or in your phone contacts. All you have to do is type the person’s name.

This app is also integrated with the chat feature with I think chat would also appear as Instant message in this app but you would have no problem continuing you chat this way.You can also create group chat or group messages , share photos or share your location with this app.

The application is available for free on App Store and Android market.

The users do not have to worry about installing any plugins or anything else as this service will be browser based but a desktop client will also be available for it.Some expert’s thing that Microsoft has to do something with the introduction of some new feature in Facebook. Also Microsoft is also involved with Skype as they may acquire it the coming time and the amount expected for this deal is $8.5 billion.

There is no official word for this from Facebook or Skype but the prove to this news is that Facebook has send invitations to people for event next week and we hope in this event Mark Zuckerberg will officially break this news to the world.

The SIM has been developed with the help of Facebook, sadly it doesn’t have features like picture streams or sliding interfaces, it rather delivers minimal features. With the help of the SIM, users would get text-menu-based integration including status updates, pokes and friend requests, porting it on any GSM compatible handset.

A Facebook spokesperson confirmed:

We worked closely with Gemalto on their Facebook for SIM product and believe it will be another easy and affordable way for people to stay connected through Facebook on the mobile phone of their choice. Facebook for SIM creatively combines technologies from some of our existing mobile solutions that especially are attractive for people with feature phones and have limited or no data plans with a mobile operator. Through the Facebook application on the SIM card people can: Update their status and view comments on it; write on their friends wall; receive notifications; find friends on their SIM phonebook.

A recently published report from analytics company Democracy UK — that describes exactly what happens in the aforementioned period of time on the site — has piqued our interest. On average:

1 million links are shared, 1.32 million photos are tagged, 1.48 million event invitations are sent out, 1.59 million wall posts are published, 1.85 million status updates are posted, 2.72 million photos are uploaded, 4.63 million messages are sent, and 10.21 million comments hit the site.

Within the span of six years, Facebook has become the world’s largest Web social network with roughly half a billion users worldwide.

Google.com dominated the top spot as the most visited website in the United States in 2009 and 2008.  However, when all of Google’s properties are considered — such as YouTube and email, for instance — Google still reigns as the most visited site at 9.9 percent between January and November 2010. Employment – Indeed accounted for 2.47 percent of all searches in the US among the top 50 terms for the Employment category in 2010 when combining common search terms – e.g., indeed and indeed.com.

The new feature, Tag Suggestions, will begin rolling out to U.S. users next week. Tag Suggestions is fairly straightforward. Whenever you’re offered the chance to tag groups of your friends in an album, Facebook will utilize its facial recognition technology to group similar faces together and automatically suggest the friend you should tag them with. As you can see in the screenshot below, Facebook fills in the “Who is this?” box with its suggestion — all you have to do is click the “Save Tags” button to accept.

according to Facebook Vice President of Product Chris Cox suggestions will only appear when its algorithms have “high confidence” of who’s being suggested. Unlike Face.com, Facebook doesn’t reveal its certainty level and wouldn’t reveal what percentage actually correlates to “high confidence.”

The social giant is also preemptively addressing the potential privacy issues that will be brought up from automatic, algorithmic tagging. Users can opt out of Tag Suggestions by going to their privacy settings and disabling the “Suggest photos of me to friends” feature.

Photos are by far the most engaging content on facebook and by adding this new feature facebook hopes their users will be tagging and uploading more and more photos.

Facebook has more than 500 million active users. By launching Fmail feature to the users of Facebook doesn’t mean that all of then will activate their Facebook email account. As most of them had already using email accounts but all together the Facebook email service will come to compete with existing email services like Yahoo, Gmail and Hotmail services.  At present, facebook users can only exchange messages together but present internal messaging service does not allow facebook users to exchange and send attachments together.
